Attached is a copy of the School Bus Safety Assurance Program Recall Listing ("Listing"). The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recommended the Listing be distributed to every school district. This Listing should be forwarded to the appropriate person responsible for inspecting the school buses.
The Arkansas Department of Education and the NHTSA encourage all districts to complete all outstanding recall work on their fleets during the summer vacation maintenance period. This maintenance schedule is supported by the Arkansas School Bus Mechanics Association and the Arkansas Association of Pupil Transportation.
