The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is announcing a Technical Assistance Workshop on preparing the application for the Stewart B. McKinney Education of Homeless Children and Youth Grant. The Technical Assistance Workshop will be conducted via Videoconference/Direct Satellite through the education service cooperatives (ESCs) on Wednesday, August 30, 2000, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
The workshop will consist of a general overview of the application, discussion on the completion of the Action Plan, and the development of goals, objectives, and activities. The interactive workshop will last for approximately 45 minutes and will be open for a question and answer session from the participants. The Request for Proposals (RFP) for grants of the Stewart B. McKinney Education for Homeless Children and Youth, Director's Memo Number: SI-01-006, is accessible on the ADE web site, arkedu.state.ar.us. PLEASE BRING A COPY OF THE APPLICATION WITH YOU TO THE WORKSHOP.
Attached is a listing of the participating education service cooperatives and a registration form. Please complete the registration form and return it to your local ESC, in order to make preparations for the number of people that will attend.
