Act 1301 of 1999 has a reporting requirement intended to update legislators on the status of school districts requiring uniforms for students. Within sixty (60) days after the 2000 annual school election, each school district shall submit a letter to the Arkansas Department of Education setting forth the recommendation of the advisory committee, the action taken by the school board regarding a uniform dress code as a result of the advisory committee's recommendation, and the results of any election regarding a uniform dress code.

The report to the legislature will be based on the information received from public school superintendents. ALL PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE REPORT TO THE LEGISLATURE. THOSE SCHOOLS NOT RESPONDING WILL ALSO BE IDENTIFIED IN THE REPORT.
