The Arkansas Department of Education is pleased to announce a grant competition for proposals funded under the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund. Proposals under this fund should address the need for infusion of technology into teaching and learning. Approximately $4 million in grants will be awarded.
Grants from the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund will be awarded for the following statewide initiatives: Smart StepTechnology, Advanced Computer Applications, Curriculum Alignment, and Professional Development. Local districts (LEAs) or consortia may also submit proposals for competitive grants.
Proposals for competitive grants are due on October 31, 2000.
Guidelines for preparing grant applications as well as selection criteria are contained in the attached Request for Proposals (RFP).
