General information, program descriptions, application forms, and instructions for the twenty-seven 2001 Academic Enrichment for the Gifted in Summer (AEGIS) programs, which will be offered to junior high and high school students who have demonstrated exceptional abilities in a specific subject area, will be mailed to schools soon.
We are asking your cooperation in making this information available to interested students who will be in Grades 7-12 in 2001-2002 and coordinating the application process. Procedures are outlined on the form titled: "AEGIS Application Instructions." Please note and convey to interested students that if selected, they are expected to attend the full length of the program. Leaves of absence for other activities or programs will not be granted by program directors. It is, therefore, necessary for students, and families of students, to check calendars before accepting programs.
