The Arkansas Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts (ACTELA) is co-sponsoring with the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) the Spring Fling, Saturday, April 7, at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Spring Fling is a professional enrichment event.
Millie Davis, Director of NCTE Affiliate and Member Services, is the featured speaker. She will address Reading-Writing Connections, Writing Instruction, and NCTE programs.
The day's program will include a guided tour of the Arts Center.
This professional development event is free to ACTELA members who register by Wednesday, March 28. A $10 registration fee will be charged for non-members (who can join ACTELA for the same price and waive the registration fee) and for late registrants. On-site registration is 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Lunch may be purchased on site for $6.00.
