The instructions and forms for completing the 2000-01 school year reports for children with disabilities exiting the educational system and the changes in placement of children with disabilities to a less restrictive environment are attached. This information, along with the data provided on the December 1, 2000, child count, will enable the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education to compile the required state reports that must be submitted to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), U.S. Department of Education.
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF THE REPORTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES EXITING THE SPECIAL EDUCATION SYSTEM AND CHANGES IN PLACEMENT TO A LESS RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT:
The reports of children with disabilities exiting the education system and changes in placement of children with disabilities to a less restrictive environment will be submitted electronically through Cycle 7 of the Statewide Information System. The instructions for Cycle 7 will be on the APSCN web page at http://www.k12.ar.us/apscndocs/sis.htm. Electronic submission of these reports is required of all school districts on the APSCN system.
Completed reports are due June 15, 2001.
