The State Board of Education reviewed and revised the cut-scores on four Praxis II content assessments on April 9, 2001. The four assessment areas and revised cut-scores are as follows.
Art K-12: Art Making - 146
Mathematics: Content Knowledge - 116
Social Studies: Analytical Essays - 140
Spanish: Productive Language Skills - 141
The new, revised cut-scores are retroactive to July 1, 1999 and may be used to issue a standard teaching license. These revised scores will be in place over the next eighteen months. Notification will be sent when the permanent cut-scores for these four areas have been established. If you have teachers whose license will be affected by these lower cut-scores, please have them contact the Office of Professional Licensure at 501-682-4342 and ask to speak with a supervisor.
