The Arkansas Department of Education will hold a public hearing on the proposed revised rules and regulations that established the academic standards for student participation in competitive interscholastic activities. The videoconference hearing will be August 21, 2001, 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Distance Learning Room located on the first floor of the Arch Ford Education Building in Little Rock. If you cannot attend the hearing in Little Rock, you may be a part of the videoconference at one of the educational cooperatives. A copy of the Proposed Rules and Regulations Establishing the Academic Standards for Student Participation in Competitive Interscholastic Activities is attached.
Written comments regarding the proposed rules and regulations will be accepted until August 24, 2001.
