The Arkansas Department of Education is making available for public review and comment proposed amendments to Section 30.00, Early Childhood Special Education, of the Arkansas Department of Education rules and regulations Special Education and Related Services: Procedural Requirements and Program Standards 2000. The proposed amendments address the number of instructional days required of the early childhood special education program and personnel qualifications. The proposed amended rules and regulations are available for public review for 60 days, between August 27 and October 25, 2001. A public hearing on the proposed amendments will be held Thursday, September 27, 2001, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Board Room (#300), Third Floor, Arkansas Teacher Retirement Building, 1400 West Third Street, Little Rock, AR.
