Dr. Don Boyd and Mrs. Aleecia Starkey will present a series of workshops entitled, "Traumatic Brain Injury - School and Community Re-entry." In this presentation, brain injury research and applications for the classroom will be presented. Various types of brain injuries and possible sequelae will be discussed. Information will be presented that will facilitate educators in interpreting medical information sent to the schools post trauma. Strategies for helping students re-enter their schools and communities will be presented.

These regional workshops will run from November of 2001 through June of 2002, and the workshops will run from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM with a one hour break for lunch. (Lunch is on your own.) The workshop schedule is as follows:

There is no cost for these workshops; however, you must be pre-registered for the workshop. Pre-registration for each presentation will close two weeks prior to the workshop date. Workshops that do not have ten (10) people pre-registered will be re-scheduled.
