The State Board of Education at its September 10, 2001 meeting voted to extend the deadline for submitting applications for open-enrollment charter schools for the 2001-2002 review cycle. This revision impacts local Boards of Education responsible for reviewing open-enrollment applications in accordance with ACA § 6-23-101 by extending the deadlines for submitting local Board written findings. The subsequent dates for the State Board to review open-enrollment charter school applications have also been revised. See the attachment for the revised schedule.
