Emergency rules and regulations for granting waivers under Act 1623 which governs parental notification of an assignment of a non-certified teacher to teach a class for more than thirty (30) consecutive days were approved by the State Board of Education at the Setpember 10, 2001 meeting. A copy of the rules and regulations reflecting the procedure for applying for waivers for those teachers teaching out of area or grade level for more than thirty (30) consecutive days during a school year is attached. All requests for waivers need to be sent to: Arkansas Department of Education Office of Accountability Room 305A #4 State Capitol Mall Little Rock, AR 72201-1071.
