Special Show 2002, sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education, is scheduled for August 6 and 7, 2002, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The theme is "Linking for Success - School, Family, Community, Resources." The biennial conference attracts general and special education teachers, education administrators, parents, university personnel and students, speech/language pathologists, and related services personnel, as well as other educational staff.
The Special Show 2002 Program Committee has surveyed educators, parents, administrators and others to determine the topics of highest interest to participants. The number one area of interest identified was discipline. There are many other significant topics listed within the proposal attachment. You are encouraged to submit a proposal on any topic(s).
Proposals for presentation are being accepted and may be submitted on the attached form. Please include all the requested information. Incomplete proposals will not be considered. The form should be returned by November 2, 2001 to:

All presentation proposals will be reviewed by the Program Committee for acceptance for inclusion in the conference program. Those submitting proposals will be notified of the outcome of this selection process in December 2001.
