At the State Board of Education meeting on Monday, January 14, 2002, the Board heard a preliminary report from Dr. Sean Mulvenon, Office of Research, Measurement, and Evaluation (ORME), College of Education and Health Professions, University of Arkansas Fayetteville, pursuant to consideration of a point system model for the Arkansas Comprehensive Testing, Assessment and Accountability Program (ACTAAP). Attached to this Director’s Memo is a copy of the Technical Manual that was prepared and distributed with the report to the Board. Department of Education staff and the Board are seeking public comment on the model.
A statewide distance learning teleconference will be held at a date yet to be determined at which time Raymond Simon, Director of Education, and Dr. Mulvenon will discuss the model and respond to questions.
