As stated in Director's Memo #IA-02-024 "…the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is offering a new opportunity for public schools to feed students after the regular school year ends." Now there are three (3) options available for public schools:
1. Regular Summer Meals Program with ADE
2. Seamless Summer Program with ADE
3. Summer Food Service Program with DHS
Betsy Gore, Administrator, Special Nutrition Programs, DHS, Wanda Shockey, Director, Child Nutrition Unit, ADE and Ellen Wahlberg, Food and Nutrition Services, USDA will present a video conference April 17, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 to discuss these summer feeding options. School District personnel interested in one of these programs need to complete the enclosed registration form. Educational cooperatives providing this video conference are listed on the registration form. Mail the completed form(s) to:
