The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) has partnered with The New Teacher Project, a non-profit consulting firm, to aide in the recruitment of new teachers for the schools and school districts of Arkansas. As a component of this partnership, the ADE will be hosting The New Teacher Project in a series of trainings over the next few months to share strategies for recruiting teachers. These trainings will be based on The New Teacher Project’s experience and successes with districts and departments of education across the country. The workshops will include hands-on activities for school district personnel in charge of recruitment and hiring to learn more about attracting new teachers into the local district.
The Department strongly encourages the appropriate human resource personnel to attend one of these trainings scheduled for the following dates:
Thursday, May 9th
Thursday, May 23rd
Friday, June 7th
Thursday, June 20th
All of the trainings will take place at the Arch Ford Education Building at the Capitol in Little Rock, Room 201-A. The trainings will run from 10AM to 2PM, and lunch will be provided.
