The window for entry of school, administrator, teacher and student data in the TAGLIT technology survey officially closed on April 15. However, since that time a number of schools have requested that additional time be given to allow more participation and to accommodate those schools that did not complete the task within the established window of opportunity.
In response, the Department of Education has extended the data collection window for the TAGLIT survey through May 31, 2002. This extension provides additional opportunity for administrators, teachers and students to fully complete this technology survey. This extension of time does delay the opportunity for schools to print out results from this year’s data until June 1, 2002. Participants in the summer Gates Grant training programs through the regional service cooperatives will need to print the survey report as part of the preparation for that training. Schools that completed the survey last year may choose to update their information or may decide not to enter additional data.
Additionally, the Department announces a new Web site that is solely devoted to technology and Gates Grant activities. It can be accessed at http://gatesgrant.k12.ar.us/.
