To prevent delayed payment of school food service reimbursements to school districts for the new 2002-2003 school year, all school districts need to submit the final SY 2001-2002 June claim for reimbursement by July 10, 2002. All districts must submit a June Reimbursement Claim Form with food service program financial information even if no meals are claimed for reimbursement in that month.
Meals served in the Regular Summer Program or Seamless Summer Program must be claimed on a form marked SUMMER and submitted at the same time as the claim for regular meals.
The Claim System rollover to another state fiscal year cannot be completed until all June claims are processed. It is understood that from time to time there are local district problems with financial reports that delay June Claims. Please notify Louann Griswood (501) 324-9502 if the July 10th deadline cannot be met.
Child Nutrition Unit, ADE will process claims on a first come first serve basis once the rollover is completed. The cooperation of districts is appreciated.
