State Information System (SIS) Cycle 1 training will be held at the Educational Cooperatives during the month of July. A schedule of the training sites, dates and times is attached to this memo. The training schedules for SIS Cycles 2-7 will be released in a separate Director’s Memo during the month of July and the training sessions will be held throughout the month of August.
The training sessions for SIS Cycle 1 range in dates from July 15 through July 31, 2002. When there is more than one training session scheduled for a particular Educational Cooperative, a list of the districts to attend each session is compiled in the attached schedule.
It is essential that the State Reporting Coordinator, Financial System Administrator and/or Bookkeeper, and Student System Administrator from the district attend one of the training sessions. In some school districts one staff member may cover more than one of these areas of responsibility, and in that case, someone else who would benefit from the training may attend. Due to limited space, please send no more than three persons to the training.
Also attached to this memo is a Statewide Information System (SIS) Coordinators Application Form. This form is to be completed and returned only if the SIS Coordinator or the Cycle 1 Coordinator for the district has changed. This training will greatly benefit the school district, making electronic reporting easier to understand and providing the proper process and procedures to submit error free reports.
