Distance Learning Workshops entitled “Free and Reduced Price Meal Application/Verification Process” will be held on August 14, 2002 and September 5th, 2002. The workshop will be offered from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The educational cooperatives that will be hosting the training sessions are listed on the registration form. Be sure to indicate the date to be attended, as well as the educational cooperative location. The workshop will be open to all determining/approving officials, hearing officials, child nutrition directors or any other persons responsible for approving, verifying or maintaining free and reduced price meal applications.
Registration deadline for the August 14, 2002 workshop is August 12, 2002 and the registration deadline for the September 5th, 2002 workshop is September 3rd, 2002. Materials needed for these workshops, (Eligibility Guidance for School Meals Manual), should be printed from the web at www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/Guidance/default.htm and click on Eligibility Guidance for School Meals Manual. Workshops will be cancelled at any site which does not have a registered participant by the deadlines.
