The workshop “What do you do? What does it mean?” will address the assessment of language and communication skills for a student with higher-level reading and communication disorders. At the conclusion of this workshop participants will be better able to determine which language assessment(s) would best provide information about a student’s reading problems. In addition, participants will be better able to interpret the data in light of reading difficulties and know how to apply the data to the student’s curriculum. The use of the WIAT-II will be discussed as it relates to assessment of language and reading difficulties.
This workshop will provide four hours of continuing education credits, and is intended for speech-language pathologists, school psychology specialists, psych-examiners and educational examiners. Dates and locations of the workshop are listed below. The workshop will be from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
