The Arkansas Department of Education, in collaboration with the Arkansas Special Education Resource Center and the Easter Seals Outreach Program will be offering ten (10) workshops during the 2002-2003 school year entitled “Functional Curriculum Training.” This training is designed to assist school personnel, who work with students with severe disabilities, in developing and implementing curriculum that meets the functional needs of this student population and that is linked with the Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks.
There is no registration fee for this training. The workshops begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 3:00 p.m. with lunch on your own. Presenters include Dr. Lynn Springfield, Education Consultant, Arkansas Special Education Resource Center; Pamela Criss, Education Consultant, Arkansas Department of Education, Deaf/Blind Project; Deena Griffis, Education Consultant, Easter Seals Outreach Program; and Bryan Ayres, Director of the Easter Seals Outreach Program.
