The Arkansas Department of Education, in collaboration with the Easter Seals Outreach Program, will be offering five (5), two-day training opportunities during the winter and spring of 2002 - 2003 dealing with the topic of considering communication and sensory needs of students with autism spectrum disorders and integrating strategies into the curriculum to assist in better serving them. Participants registering for this training should have attended one of the trainings provided by the Consultants for Behavior Intervention or another such training regarding autism spectrum disorders within the last two years.
There is no registration fee for this training; however, participants will be limited to twenty-five (25) at each site. The workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude each day at 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be on your own. The attachment contains workshop dates, locations and registration materials. If directions are required to a location, please call the number provided for that site. To register, complete the registration form and return as indicated or contact Bryan Ayres toll-free at 877-533-3600 (if calling outside of the Little Rock area) for further information.
