Act 648 of 2003 requires school districts to develop a plan on or before January 1, 2004 to provide for the safety of students and employees in the event of a terrorist attack, specifically including contingency plans for attacks using biological agents, the use of nerve gas, or similar chemical agents, affecting the school and in the event of war affecting the school. A copy of Act 648 of 2003 is attached and will become effective on July 16, 2003.
