The Arkansas Department of Education, Professional Quality Enhancement unit, is pleased to announce the Beginning Administrator Induction Program training during the summer of 2003. This is a two-day training offered for:
1.) Administrator Mentors (2 days)
2.) Beginning Building Level and Curriculum/Program Administrators (1 day).
These training sessions are the mentoring model for administrator mentors and beginning administrators, with a focus on the mentor during day one and collaboration between the pair on day two.
Who needs this training?
Individuals holding an Initial Building Level or Curriculum/Program Administrator License, or individuals working under an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP), employed for the first time as an administrator, and working toward a Standard Administrator License.
Building Level Administrators include: Principals, Vice Principals, and Assistant Principals
Curriculum/Program Administrators include: Special Education, Gifted/Talented Education, Vocational Education, Curriculum Specialist, and Content Area Specialist
When and where is the training?
Mentors: Monday, July 21, 2003, 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
(Two-day training) Tuesday, July 22, 2003, 8:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.
Wyndham Riverfront, North Little Rock
Beginning Administrators: Tuesday, July 22, 2003, 8:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.
(One-day training)

Dress will be casual for all meetings. Lodging and meals will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed. All overnight arrangements will be made according to information given on the registration form, and will be confirmed prior to the training.
