Arkansas Code annotated 6-16-603 and 6-16-604 (Repl. 1993) authorizes the College Preparatory Enrichment Program (CPEP) be made available for eleventh and twelfth grade students scoring below 19 on the ACT. All funds must be spent for the operation of CPEP during the summer program.
Funds will be distributed to schools that held a CPEP program following the CPEP Rules and Regulations. CPEP Rules and Regulations may be found on the ADE web site under Rules and Regulations. Funding is based on a poverty index calculated for the percentage of free/reduced meals.
Those districts that conducted a CPEP program must send a letter of assurance to the Arkansas Department of Education stating that the CPEP Rules and Regulations were followed to be eligible to receive funds.
