The Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education Unit, is providing training on a new Local Educational Agency (LEA) special education program self-assessment web-based tool. This web-based tool will serve a dual purpose when school districts use it to:
1) prepare for participation in the Special Education LEA Continuous Improvement and Focused Monitoring process, and
2) identify critical needs and establish priorities in special education to be addressed in the Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (ACSIP) in 2004.
This training is offered Monday, July 21, 2003, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Training will be conducted at the Arkansas Special Education Resource Center’s new office located in the Wildwood Center (Heritage Building). The address is:
