Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Special Education Procedural Requirements and Program Standards, Section 19.00, include criteria and guidelines for the provision and payment of Extended School Year (ESY) services to students with disabilities. Attached are application forms to be completed for students identified as being eligible for ESY services.
ESY, Part Two, covers the period of time from July 1, 2003, through August 29, 2003. The reimbursement for the period covering ESY, Part Two will be $30 per student per day.
Applications for Part Two are due in the Special Education Office by September 15, 2003. Also, school districts that participated in ESY Part One and received reimbursement are required to submit the attached verification of student activity by September 15, 2003. ESY Part One funds must be recouped by the ADE if student activity was less than anticipated.
