Act 1802 of 2003 mandated new filing requirements beginning with the 2004 fiscal year.
The Act states: “Section 1. Before January 1, 2004, the Department of Education shall make the following information and data available and easily accessible on its website: (2) Each school district’s personnel policies required under Arkansas Code §§ 6-17-201 through 6-17-208.”
Given this requirement, each district is requested to submit Personnel Policies and Salary Schedules, both certified and classified, to the Department in electronic format. The format may be in word, WordPerfect, or PDF. They may be submitted via disc (floppy or CD) or email. Emails should be sent to Yvonne Williams at ywilliams@arkedu.k12.ar.us.
Given the requirement that every district must publish its Personnel Policies salary schedules this information should be readily available in electronic format.
The September 15 deadline for submission governs this requirement and will be enforced.
