Dr. Eric Lopez, from New Mexico State University, will present a two-day conference on Multicultural Issues in Nondiscriminatory Assessment at the Arkansas School Psychology Association Fall Conference on October 2-3. The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn – Airport, Little Rock, AR.
This presentation will focus on practical guidelines for working with students and families to address cultural and linguistic issues. Dr. Lopez offers suggestions and tips for improving collaboration between classroom teachers, administrators, child study team members, school psychologists, counselors, and mental health providers on the essential cultural and linguistics components for assessing multicultural students.
