Paraprofessionals that have met the highly qualified requirements in the state where they reside, as defined by the No Child Left Behind Act, and transfer to the state of Arkansas may be accepted by a school district as being highly qualified.
Documentation for meeting the requirements are required and must be on file at the school district and/or school site. Documentation must be provided by the out-of-state school district, the out-of-state department of education, or an official college transcript may be submitted.
