The Arkansas Department of Education, Office of Professional Quality Enhancement, will host a one-day Administrator Induction Program training, Tuesday, September 30, 2003. This is a one-day training session for all Beginning Administrators and Administrator Mentors who did not attend the July 21-22, 2003 training.
Who needs this training?
This training is only for administrator mentors and beginning administrators who did not attend the July 21-22 training. The following definitions help clarify who may attend.
Administrator Mentors (Licensed administrators assisting beginning administrators by providing support and focused feedback)
Beginning Administrators (Building Level or Curriculum/Program Administrators):
· holding an Initial Administrator License
· employed under an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP)
· with less than one year of administrative experience employed for the first time as a Building Level or Curriculum/Program Administrator
Building Level Administrators include: Principal, Vice Principal, and Assistant Principal
Curriculum/Program Administrators include: Special Education, Gifted/Talented Education, Vocational Education, Curriculum Specialist, and Content Area Specialist
When and where is the training?
Tuesday, September 30, 2003
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Registration and Breakfast will begin at 7:30a.m.)
Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, North Little Rock
Dress is casual for all meetings. Lodging and meals are provided, and mileage will be reimbursed. Overnight lodging will be arranged based on information provided on the registration form, and will be confirmed prior to the training.
