The Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher (FMF) Program competition is under way for 2004. For the past six years, the FMF program has provided a unique opportunity for United States primary and secondary school teachers and administrators to participate in a fully funded three-week visit to Japan. Under the sponsorship of the Government of Japan, the FMF program has enabled approximately 4,100 educators to travel to Japan to study the Japanese culture and educational system. This year, several hundred more American educators will be selected as FMF participants.

The 2004 competition continues to offer an on-line application. By visiting the FMF/IIE website at http://www.iie.org/fmf, applicants can view the entire 2004 application and apply on-line. To secure additional materials or answers for questions concerning the program, contact the Fulbright Memorial Fund at 1-888-527-2636 or fmf@iie.org.
