Course Goals for Civics with Government is a new document for Civics and Government teachers in Arkansas. In the spring of 2003, a team of master teachers from Arkansas public schools spent one week in Little Rock creating this document. The document is the first of its kind for social studies teachers, and is modeled after previously produced documents such as Course Goals for Biology, Course Goals for Algebra I, and Course Goals for Geometry. Course Goals for Civics with Government was produced for schools who teach a one semester course and a more detailed course outline was also produced for schools which require one year of civics or government.
