The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1997 provides for subgrants to local education agencies for capacity building and improvement activities. For Fiscal Year (FY) 2003-04, Sliver grants will be awarded to local education agencies for the following State Priorities:
1. Final year funding of ongoing Sliver projects with objectives targeting students in alternative learning environments and students benefiting from behavioral services.
2. Supplementary funding to implement strategies for improving educational results for children with disabilities.
