The Center for Effective Parenting will present a one-day workshop on Monday, October 27, 2003, in Springdale. The focus will be on developing and operating a parent center in compliance with Act 603 (Parental Involvement Plan). The workshop will be held in the Jones Center for Families, 922 East Emma, Springdale AR.
The workshop will include:
* Free materials for the school’s parent center, with examples of existing centers
* Presentations on the ‘how to’ of developing, making parent kits
* Organizing and facilitating a parent center, improving parent involvement
* Developing employer bookmarks, enhancing the school’s volunteer program
* Plus many other topics on developing and operating a parent center.
The registration fee will be $10 per participant to cover the cost of lunch.
