The programs so recognized shall be eligible to receive an award of not more than $3,000 from funds appropriated to the Arkansas Department of Education for the purpose of making awards to outstanding educational programs.”

Attached is an application with detailed instructions to be used when submitting a district’s program to be considered as an outstanding gifted and talented program. These districts are: 2001 - Lakeside (Hot Springs), Vilonia, and Fayetteville; 2002 – Plainview Rover, Crossett, and Fort Smith; 2003 – Lead Hill, Dover, and Van Buren.
