The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), in collaboration with the Easter Seals Outreach Program, will be offering five (5), two-day training opportunities during January and February of 2004 on the topic of consideration of communication and sensory needs of students with autism spectrum disorders and how to integrate strategies into the curriculum to better educate them. Participants registering for this training are required to have attended one of the trainings provided by the Behavior Intervention Consultant or a similar training regarding autism spectrum disorders within the last two years.
Participation will be limited to twenty-five (25) at each location. The workshops will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude each day at 3:30 p.m. Lunch will be the responsibility of the participant. The attachment contains workshop dates, locations and registration materials. If directions are required to a location, call the number provided for that site.
