Beginning January 2004, the Arkansas Department of Education’s (ADE) Distance Learning Center (DLC) will offer Oral Communications, Civics, and the first semester of Algebra I, Algebra II, and English 12. These courses will provide, for example, an opportunity for seniors who failed the fall semester of English to take it again through the DLC and perhaps graduate on schedule with their classmates. Completed course request forms and signed assurances should be returned as soon as possible, but no later than January 7, 2004.
These forms along with information for spring 2004 course offerings and facilitator training are attached and also posted on the ADE Distance Learning Center's Website at http://dlc.k12.ar.us/mlar/dlcinfo.htm.
Mandatory training for new facilitators and for those facilitators identified by the ADE Distance Learning Center as needing additional training is scheduled for January 6, 2004.
