As reported in Director’s Memo SI-04-030 issued 11/18/03, the non-academic indicators used in determining adequate yearly progress (AYP) have been calculated in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Accountability Workbook for Determining AYP. It is not necessary to send an appeal in order for these changes to be made. The database for school improvement reports has been changed to reflect these calculations. Schools are asked to make the necessary changes on the school improvement data report dated October 28, 2003. The revised attendance data and graduation rates are attached.
