ADMINISTRATOR INDUCTION PROGRAM
2003/2004 Beginning Administrator/Mentor Training
The Arkansas Department of Education, Office of Professional Quality Enhancement, will host a one-day Administrator Induction Program training, Tuesday, January 13, 2004. This training session is for all Beginning Administrators and Administrator Mentors (employed for the 2003/2004 school year) who did not attend the July or September training.
Who needs this training?
This training is for the 2003/2004 beginning administrators and administrator mentors who did not attend the July or September training.
Administrator Mentors are licensed administrators assisting beginning administrators by providing support and focused feedback.
Beginning Administrators are Building Level or Curriculum/Program Administrators who:
· hold an Initial Administrator License, or
· are employed under an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP), or
· hold a standard administrator license, with less than one year of administrative experience, and are employed for the first time as a Building Level or Curriculum/Program Administrator
Building Level Administrators include: Principals, Vice Principals, and Assistant Principals
Curriculum/Program Administrators include: Special Education, Gifted/Talented Education, Career & Technical Education, Curriculum Specialist, and Content Area Specialist
When and where is the training?
Tuesday, January 13, 2004
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Registration and Breakfast will begin at 8:00a.m.)Holiday Inn Airport Hotel, Little Rock
Dress is casual for all meetings. Lodging and meals are provided, and mileage will be reimbursed. Overnight lodging will be arranged based on information provided on the registration form, and will be confirmed prior to the training.
