The Center for Effective Parenting will present a one-day workshop on Monday, January 26, 2004. The focus will be on developing and operating a parent center in compliance with Act 603 (Parental Involvement Plan). The workshop will be held at the Agora Conference Center, 705 E. Siebenmorgan Road, Conway, Arkansas.
The workshop will address the "how to" of developing, organizing, and facilitating a parent center, provide information on placement of the center and what kinds of materials to put in it, discuss how to involve parents, and address barriers to involvement, as well as many other issues.
The registration fee, which will cover the cost of lunch, will be $10 per participant. Payment must accompany the registraion form and will be limited to the first 350 registrations received. There will be no on-site registration. The registration form is attached to this Director's Memo.
