The Twenty-third Annual Curriculum and Instruction Conference will be held at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas on June 21-23, 2004. This event is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (AASCD) and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). The 2004 theme is "Blazing Pathways Together: Leadership for Learning Communities." The featured speaker will be Jim Grant, author of “If You're Riding a Horse and It Dies, Get Off”. Small sessions will focus on school safety, differentiated instruction, Academic Improvement Plans, parental involvement/kits, National Board Teacher Certification, and curriculum alignment to state standards.
