The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Office of Professional Quality Enhancement, is hosting a one-day Spring Regional Follow-up Session for Beginning Administrators. This is the second of two follow-up sessions in the Administrator Induction Program for the 2003/2004 school year.
Who needs to attend?
Beginning Building Level and Curriculum/Program Administrators employed:
· holding an Initial Administrator License, or
· under an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP), or
· with less than one year of administrative experience (holding a standard adm. license)
Building Level Administrators include: Principal, Vice Principal, and Assistant Principal
Curriculum/Program Administrators include: Special Education, Gifted/Talented Education, Career & Technical Education, Curriculum Specialist, and Content Area Specialist
When and where is the session?
Each administrator will attend one (1) of the following sessions (preferably in his/her regional area):
· Tuesday, March 2, 2004 Western Arkansas Education Service Cooperative, Branch
· Wednesday, March 3, 2004 Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative, Plumerville
· Thursday, March 4, 2004 Crowley’s Ridge Education Service Cooperative, Harrisburg
· Tuesday, March 9, 2004 Dawson Education Service Cooperative, Arkadelphia
· Thursday, March 10, 2004 Holiday Inn Airport, Little Rock
Materials to bring to the session:
Each administrator must bring a copy of his/her Professional Learning Plan and training Notebook
NOTE: Each session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. Dress will be casual for all meetings. Meals will be provided and mileage will be reimbursed.
