The next Distance Learning Class -- “5-A-Day What’s In It For Me” will be held March 4, 2004, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and is open to all Child Nutrition directors, managers, and other district personnel involved in providing Nutrition Education for students. Learn about:
· 5-A-Day and School-Age Children: Trends, Effects, Solutions;
· Innovative Approaches for Creating Change;
· DOD Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program in Schools,
· FREE materials available to schools.
Speakers will include Christine Stachowiak, Arkansas 5-A-Day Coordinator, and Don Griffin, Commodity Distribution Center.
The registration fee is $10.00 for each participant and the deadline for registration is February 25. Handouts for the training will be mailed to all registered participants after the deadline. These will include a poster, fact sheets, 5-A-Day Quantity Recipe Cook Book and fruit/vegetable activity sheets. All registered participants will be eligible for additional prizes.
Attached is the registration form. Indicate the educational cooperative location on the registration form. The training will be cancelled at any site which does not have a registered participant by the deadline. Copy and complete a separate registration form for each participant.
