A draft of the 2002-2003 Annual School Performance Report, including definitions of the indicators, is now available on the web site of the Arkansas Department of Education (http://www.as-is.org). This report reflects calculations performed on data received through APSCN as well as from testing companies and other agencies. The report will remain in draft form until the official reports are mailed to the parents of all public school children, which should occur no later than March 15, 2004.
Please review the performance reports for the local schools and district. If there are any errors in the Department’s calculations, please fax a corrected calculation along with the raw numbers used in making the calculation to Barbara Bankhead at 501-682-4214. Every effort will be made to verify the data submitted and make appropriate changes prior to the report being mailed to the parents. All requests for changes must be received in the Department by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2004.
