The Fifty-Fourth Annual School Bus Mechanics Workshop is scheduled for June 14-18, 2004, at the Conway Career Center in Conway, AR. The focus of the conference will be "School Bus Mechanics: Carrying on a Safe Tradition.”
A registration packet will be sent to each school district. Registration will be at the Conway High School Cafeteria on Sunday, June 13, 2004, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and Monday between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. The opening session will be at 9:30 a.m. Mechanics should arrive before the 9:30 a.m. opening session. Breakfast will be served on Monday morning.
Included in the packet will be a registration form, class schedule, list of courses, and course descriptions that will be offered at this workshop. Complete the registration form, class schedule and attach a school warrant/check made payable to Arkansas School Bus Mechanics Association, Vernon Owens, Treasurer. Registration will be $70.00 for each mechanic. All mechanics will be responsible for arranging for their own motel rooms. All meals will be free of charge to registered participants. A list of motels and a map of the area is also included in the packet. The emergency telephone number for the week of June 14 – 18, 2004 is (501) 450-6633. Please do not call any other Conway Public School numbers. This telephone will be monitored Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Registration deadline is May 14, 2004. Pre-registration is essential for reserving classes. As a reminder, some classes are limited. Mechanics are registered for classes upon receipt of the registration form, class schedule and warrant.
