The Center for Effective Parenting will present a final one-day workshop on Friday, May 7, 2004. The focus will be on developing and operating a parent center in compliance with Act 603 (Parental Involvement Plan). The workshop will be held at the Southeast Arkansas Education Service Cooperative, 1022 Scogin Drive, Monticello, Arkansas.
The workshop will address the “how to” of developing, organizing, facilitating a parent center, and what kinds of materials to put in it. There will be a discussion of how to involve parents and address barriers to involvement, as well as many other issues.
The registration fee, which will cover the cost of lunch, will be $10 per participant. Payment must accompany the registration form and will be limited to the first 175 registrations received. There will be no on-site registration. The registration form is attached.
