The annual Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) is set for July 26-30, 2004, at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

YLF is a program presented by Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) in conjunction with the Governor's Commission on People with Disabilities. It is a four-day seminar, designed to give students with disabilities the necessary skills for personal and professional success. Students live on campus, giving them an advance look at what college life is all about. They will make new friends and experience real-life skills through interactive workshops that can be classified as "Life 101."

YLF is open to high school juniors going into their senior year and graduated seniors who are going on to college. Attendees are supervised 24 hours a day while at YLF. There is no cost; all expenses for students are underwirtten by ARS. (Room and board, travel and personal care attendant,if necessary)

The application process is competitive and the deadline for applying is April 30, 2004. For more information or to request an application packet, contact Carl Enna via e-mail: ylf@ars.state.ar.us or call toll-free, 800-330-0632.

There is also a limited amount of places for YLF alumni to return as mentors. Graduates interested should contact Carl Enna for further information.
